Without a doubt, the key selling point of the Asus RT-BE88U is the number of WAN/LAN ports. For starters, it has a 10Gbps WAN port that's ideal for Singapore users who have recently upgraded to one of the increasingly affordable 10Gbps fibre broadband plans. There's also a 10Gbps SFP+ port, though that's more for prosumers and networking enthusiasts. Then there are four 2.5Gbps ports that are useful if you have a gaming laptop with an Ethernet port, which often tops out at 2.5Gbps. And to complete the set, there are four basic 1Gbps ports.
